Welcome to WickedYummy.com!

Hi everyone! My name is Monica, I am 24 years old, and I live in central Massachusetts with my boyfriend, Matt, and our new puggle puppy, Harvey. Wicked Yummy is a place where I can post my favorite lightened up recipes that have helped me to eat better and healthier. I try to take recipes and foods that I love to eat and make them healthier and lighter while still tasting as good as the original. Making lighter recipes has allowed me to be successful on my weight loss journey without feeling like I am dieting.

My little man, Harvey!
I started Weight Watchers a little over a year ago and while I found that it was very easy to follow the plan and eat what I wanted, I wanted to be able to eat my favorite foods but not have to worry about going over my points plus values. Weight Watchers is all about portion control and although you can eat whatever you want on the plan (as long as you track it), your favorite foods like comfort foods or sweets may be way more points plus than expected. When I first started, I made a lot of the recipes that are on the Weight Watchers website as well as scouring the internet for lighter recipes. Once I learned the fundamentals for making an unhealthy recipe lighter, I started recreating my own favorite recipes.

I love to go to different restaurants with my friends and my boyfriend. I also love to travel to new places in the US and abroad, although I don't get to do this as much as I would like. One of the best things about going to new regions and cities is sampling the food that these places are famous for. Obviously this can be quite difficult when trying to stay within points plus values or simply when trying to eat healthy. I like to try and order healthier menu options or deconstruct the dish and figure out the points as best I can in order to track everything that I eat. Wicked Yummy is also a place where I can share with you my ways of staying healthy while on vacation and in different restaurants.

I truly believe that diets don't work mainly because people feel that they need to limit themselves to certain foods and cannot eat what they want. Weight Watchers, along with my favorite recipes lightened up, has allowed me to lose weight and be healthier. I'm not quite at my weight loss goal, but these recipes are definitely helping me get there. I'm new to the blogging world, so there may not be many recipes posted now, but I have a ton lined up to make and post! I hope you all enjoy these recipes and find them Wicked Yummy! Thanks for visiting WickedYummy.com!

Love, Monica
